Eric Bruno Borgman is an actor/filmmaker who has a penchant for comedy.
He has produced, written, and directed two feature comedies in which he also stars. The Deserter, is an out and out silent comedy which takes place during the American Revolution. Eric stars as a British drummer who accidentally deserts from his regimented and is hunted down for execution. Eric deliberately made this film as a silent comedy as a tip of his hat to his heroes Buster Keaton and Laurel and Hardy. Though the film is a silent comedy, it has music and sound effects and also a great deal of seriously filmed Revolutionary War battle scenes. His next feature comedy, The Man in the Movie, is a talkie and centers on the life of a librarian who gets tickets to a silent comedy film festival and slowly finds his life turning into a silent comedy when he sees an actor who looks very familiar! Borgman's latest comedy is a short entitled The Girl of His Dreams which stars Andria Blackman, Casey McDougal and Greg Seymore. |
