Shayne has appeared repeatedly at the the Star Theatre, as well as Zanies, Second City, the Tempe Improv, and the Comedy Store in Los Angeles as well as: Laffs (Tuscon & Colorado Springs), Kook's Comedy Club, the Three Jokers, Fun Seekers, Studebakers, T.G.I.Fs, and too many universities and hotels to count.
Shayne Michael is an award winning stand-up comic, writer, and musician who has appeared in 15 states and three Canadian provinces. Last year he was featured in the Chicago Comedy Festival. He toured the northwest United States for eight months with the Psychiatric Comedy Tour in 1996 where he Opened, Emceed, and Featured. He has also toured Arizona for one Year with the San Francisco Comedy Invasion. Aside from being an award winning comic, Shayne has been published by numerous prestigious newspapers including the Los Angeles Times and the Phoenix Gazette. He was an award winning columnist & reporter for the ASU State Press, the MCC Legend, and the Westwood Warchant. His web site features the online version of those columns in a self-produced book entitled: The Little Book With No Name. That web site has recieved over 1,000,000 visits in its first six months. The book has been read by almost 10,000 people. The site now averages 4000 visits a day. It has tons of resources for working comedians. Shayne was also a member of the award-winning ASU Comedy Committee and the Farce Side Writers Group in 1995. He has taken many basic stand-up, acting, and improv classes. In 1994, he took 1st place ASU Stand-Up Comedy Competition. Shayne has many other talents: He plays trumpet, piano, and keyboard. He writes music prolifically. And, he was a four time perfect AAAA winner at the AAMF festival in Mesa, Arizona for his performances on the piano.t |
