I'm Chilean-Spanish, I was born in Santiago de Chile on January 10th, 1976.
From an early age I showed an interest in drawing and painting. I remember that I used to spend hours in my room creating art and listening to music. I was known at school for my artistic abilities and unique way of expressing myself through color. I always knew that I wanted to study something related to art. In 1995 I went to University to study "Equipment Design" (or Industrial Design). In 1998 I took a sabbatical from my studies. It was time to prepare my own canvas and decided to paint. In November of that same year I went to Portland, USA, to visit my sister who was (and still is) living there. That trip was the first of many others which have inspired me. In 1999 I resumed my studies at the University and I kept painting. My first individual exhibition was the same year and lasted the whole month of June. The reception and written comments were incredible. I decided then to dedicate myself to painting and continued studying Design at University. Trips to Brazil, Europe and USA have helped me to discover new cultures, new languages contributing to my artistic development. I´m currently living in Europe, based for the moment, in Italy.. |
