Representing Christine Marshall, Canadian Wildlife Originals and Low limited editions.
Christine Marshall is Canada's foremost female wildlife painter whose media is acrylic on canvas. Her highly detailed style referred to as "Romantic Realism", presents a warmer side permitting an emotional interlude with her subjects. She strives to make her wildlife appear so real that the viewer can almost sense their inner thoughts, so natural that they come alive and so compelling that the observer is tempted to reach out and try to touch it. The compositions are from nature in form and earthy in colour. Mushrooms, owls, chipmunks, chickadees, mammals, birds and other wild elements of nature are her favourite subjects. Christine has completed many commissions and is usually committed for several years in advance. Few artists on the contemporary scene have achieved the level of success Christine enjoys or the acclaim her work has received both at home and abroad. But then very few painters of wildlife have brought to the field more expert technical skill or a fresher approach to painting our wildlife than Christine Marshall. Her use of specimens, field study, personal photography and a strong artistic imagination assist Christine in obtaining the accurate anatomical detail she so avidly seeks to capture. Demand for Christine's original canvases encouraged her to present quality museum class limited edition offset prints and multi-coloured lithographs. Christine's popularity has drawn public attention through television and radio interviews, magazine and newpaper features on her art and lifestyle and requests for appearances, speaking engagements and gallery exhibits. Her works of art are sought by art connoisseurs, investors and nature and wildlife enthusiasts alike throughout the world. Christine's art is available in many galleries across Canada and the United States. Exhibits of her work have been presented in such major locations as Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary, Winnipeg, New York, Chicago and within Quebec. Christine's contributions to the world of art evokes an appreciation of nature's beauty that will ensure her a special place in the mainstream of wildlife art for years to come. |
